I stood there thinking, “Why can’t I find a good pastel de nata in the UK?”

I figured I couldn’t be the only person asking this question.

Every nata I tasted was made with compromised ingredients or imitated methods. Soggy, chewy pastry; over sweetened custard. They just weren't right - and they were a poor reflection of my Portuguese gastronomic heritage

....And so Maria Nata was born.

We are a Portuguese-owned business supplying the UK market. Our products are made ONLY in Portugal.
